Circa 1840, puce printed royal arms mark
Painted with a view of Windsor Castle as seen from the middle of the Thames River, cows stranded in the river in the foreground, a cowherd reaching towards them from the right bank, reserved on the pale blue ground within a gilt band and further gilt border chased with trellis and edged with moulded rocaille scrolls enriched in gilt, the rim similarly moulded and gilt, the exterior of the everted sides painted with loose bouquets reserved within chased gilt bands on the blue ground gilt with trailing flowers at each angle
