A German walnut and burr walnut topbureau
Mid 18th Century
Crossbanded overall, the double arched moulded cornice above a pair of arched panelled doors, enclosing an interior fitted with ten open compartments above eleven variously sized drawers, surrounding a door enclosing an interior with two open compartments above three drawers, two drawers below, the lower structure with a sloping flap inlaid with two panels, enclosing an interior with five open compartments flanked by four drawers, the writing surface inlaid with four panels, above a frieze drawer and three long drawers, moulded plinth, on bun feet, minor restorations
