                                            A WELL-CARVED WHITE AND RUSSET JADE POURING VESSEL 
17th Century
Well hollowed and finely carved as a gnarled tree trunk carved in high relief with a chilong climbing up one side towards the spout and with smaller chilong slithering amidst and through the bark of the blossoming prunus branches sprouting from the large gnarled branch that forms a handle or grip on the other side, the softly polished, translucent stone of white tone with cloudy inclusions and russet striations and skin
