The hunch-backed figure with ribboned flames rising from the haunches depicted grasping a sprig of lingzhi fungus in its sharply tapering jaws, with bulbous eyes, a pair of antlers and finely incised hair markings on the mane and tufted tail, the softly polished stone of very pale greenish-white tone with some fine opaque inclusions and light added russet coloring
