The long, rectangular inro designed in inlaid aogai and gold and silver lacquer with a scene of Hotei reaching into a basket of jewels, and with his large, wrapped sack, on the opposite side, the ends and cord runners decorated with precious emblems, the ground brownish-black lacquer accented with nashiji, and the inner compartments nashiji; fitted with a coral bead ojime and black lacquer box-form netsuke decorated with two silver cranes and inlaid-aogai bamboo
