Decorated with a caparisoned elephant created of inlaid ivory, lacquered ivory, red lacquer, blue glass and simulated pewter and with the signature Kukei within a circle in gold lacquer; fitted with an ivory and inlaid mother-of-pearl ojime and with a netsuke carved as a seated tiger with carefully delineated stripes and even polish, the himotoshi created by the rear left leg, signed Kokei
