A finely engineered museum display quality th scale model of the 'Stockport' Open Crank Gas Engine No.8175 originally built by J. Andrews and Co., Reddish, Stockport
and modelled by K.C. Gray and overhauled by A. Walshaw, with waterjacketed cylinder 1in. bore x 3in. stroke, frame incorporated curved trunnions, main bearings with wick type oil boxes, twin curved spoke flywheels, gear driven camshaft, rope driven 'splash' type cylinder lubricator, cam and rocker operated inlet and exhaust valves, eccentric and rocking lever operated make and break within a dummy magneto, Atkinson's patent vibrating governor and valve, spark and hot tube ignition systems, exhaust pipe and silencer, gas pipework and valves and flow regulator, belt and pulley, the whole finished in red with white lining, black and polished brightwork and mounted on a simulated black and white tiled floor -- 20 x 25in. (52 x 64.7in.) Display base and plexiglass cover, instructions, starting pulley.
