A SET OF THREE GEORGE II SILVER CASTERS
Maker's mark of Samuel Wood, London, 1744
Each inverted pyriform, on a spreading circular base with rocaille border, the body chased and repoussé with rocaille, flowers and fruit on a matted ground, the neck with similar decoration centering on each side a rococo cartouche engraved on one side with a crest, the other with a coat-of-arms, supporters and crest, the high-domed spirally fluted cover pierced with scrolls and surmounted by a bud finial, with fitted case, marked under bases and covers
