With high very slightly tapering sides and flat base, the top stepped for a lid, the sides with a band of repeated foliated kufic inscription incised through black lacquer between narrow red lacquer bands of simple bands and dotted motifs, the majority of the sides plain black lacquer, lacquer chipped, slight cracks
