formed as a cigarette lighter in the shape of a Rotary Spark Discharger with ebonite knob to the disc, on circular marble base -- 3in. (9cm.) high, 1912 (incomplete)

Lot Essay

These lighters were made as souvenirs for the male delegates to the 1912 International Telegraphic Congress. Silver scent-bottles were given to female delegates. Most of the lighter mechanism is missing on this example.
