Painted at the centre in famille rose enamels with a scene depicting Tsar Peter I supervising cargo on the shores of a Dutch estuary, probably near Zaandam, the border encircled by scrollwork in bianco-sopra-bianco below a brown-edged rim (some enamels rubbed)
