A Sevres trellis-ground cabaret
1766, blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letter n, various incised marks
Each piece painted with figures in extensive wooded river landscapes with buildings within oval cartouches reserved on an elaborate gilt trellis ground with pink and blue centred flowers, the covers with carnation finials, comprising:
An oviform teapot and cover (thire Calabre), the spout and handle with gilt garlands and pointill panels
An ogee sugar-bowl and cover (sucrier Hbert)
A teacup and saucer (gobelet Hbert et soucoupe) with entwined branch handle with blue and pink pointill decoration
A rectangular tray (plateau tiroir ajour), the sides pierced with Vitruvian scrolls and pink flowers (some minute chipping to three corners and sides of tray)
The tray 9.5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) wide
