A pair of Sevres plates
1758, blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letter F, painter's mark S for Mereaud, one with indistinct incised marks
Each with a central bouquet, the border with gilt-edged looped ribbon suspending trailing garlands of flowers, the lobed rim moulded and gilt with trailing flowers (one with small rim chip at 4 o'clock, both with some very slight wear to enamels)

Two services corresponding to the decoration of the present lot are mentioned in the Svres sales records for 1760.
