A Meissen yellow-ground teabowl and saucer
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords marks, painter's dark-grey 2 to both, Pressnummer 2 to footrim of teabowl, Dreher's ** to footrim of saucer
Painted with landscapes in puce camaeu with figures, buildings and trees before distant mountains within two quatrefoil puce line cartouches, the interior with a harbour scene within a circular double puce line cartouche, the saucer similarly decorated with boats and ships by a quayside with figures and a tower within a similar circular cartouche, gilt line rims (very slight rubbing to the enamels of the saucer at 5 o'clock)
