A Meissen slop-bowl
Circa 1740 blue crossed swords mark and Pressnummer 8 and gilder's indistinct gilt 7.
The exterior painted with two river landscape vignettes divided by indianische Blumen, one side with merchants before a fortified city and ships beyond, the other with merchants at discussion among barrels and sacks by a tent, both within shaped oval gilt cartouches with gilt striped and diaper Bttger-lustre panels and puce and iron-red scrolling foliage, the interior painted in puce camaeu with merchants at discussion within a similar shaped circular cartouche (section broken through and restuck, associated crack, wear to gilt rim)
