Two Meissen fabeltiere plates
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords marks
Each painted in the manner of Adam Friedrich von Lwenfinck, one with a mythical hound seated on its hind legs on a grassy terrace with flowers, the border alternately decorated with three butterflies and flowerheads, the other with a fantastic striped beast with long ears on a grassy terrace with flowers, the border with three butterflies, brown line rims (second plate with hairline crack from rim, slight wear to enamels of both)
