MLLER, Ign. Mappa geographica novissima Regni Hungariae divisi in suos comitatus. Vienna: 1769.

Engraved wall map on 12 sheets joined, approx. 2070 x 2430mm, by Johan Christoph Winkler. Elaborate title and dedication cartouche at upper left surmounted by bust-length portraits of Joseph II and Maria Theresa, large engraved view of the Danube at upper right, allegorical landscape at lower left with Poseidon in the foreground and the Danube in the background, key, graticule border. The map mounted on linen, with metal upper roller and wooden lower roller, wooden plaque lettered in gilt, 'Hungary'. (Trimmed to platemark at sides, some surface dirt and light discolouration, some fraying to edges.)

A fine early impression, with guidelines still visible, of this monumental wall map, of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, including Croatia, and Dalmatia, parts of Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria and adjacent lands.
