A George III mahogany striking bracket clock

The brass-lined case with triple rectangular pads to the break-arch top surmounted by a gilt-brass handle, later pierced mahogany sound frets to the sides and on brass bracket feet, the dial with white enamel chapter disc signed Vulliamy London with Roman and Arabic chapters and blued steel pierced spade hands, foliate spandrels, subsidiary enamel rings in the arch for strike/silent and pendulum regulation flanking a further signature engraved Vulliamy London 691, the five pillar twin fusee movement with anchor escapement, the numbered steel-rod pendulum suspended from the cam-adjusted bar above the plates, strike on bell, plain backplate engraved Vulliamy London 691
