The body of ovoid section decorated in various coloured inlays on a gold lacquer ground with doves perched on a blossoming cherry tree, and sparrows and butterfly flying over sprays of peonies, with two shaped bands enhanced in silver, gold hiramaki-e and gold dust, the long foliated neck and foot with elaborate enamelled silver rims, slight old wear and some small inlays missing
