The bowl signed Miochin Yoshi Iye, Momoyama Period (16th Century), the Mount Edo Period (18th Century)
The thirty-four plate russet iron bowl with za boshi [rivets with fluted washers] and gilt fukurin to all the suji [ridges], small four stage tehen kanamono, the peak and fukigayeshi covered with blue brocade edged with shobu gawa [iris leather], the bowl mounted with a black lacquered iron six lame close fitting neckguard laced with dark blue spaced lacing, a fore crest of a carved wood figure of fudo with red lacquered flames to the rear is associated
