Rectangular box with canted corners, the sides and base engine-turned with foliate strapwork, the cover engraved with sky blue enamelled foliage with its four corners enamelled with opaque blue floral quatrefoils, within sky and night blue enamelled border stripes, a slide on the front side opening the hinged oval flap enamelled with a flowerspray, and releasing the mechanism of the colourfully plumed singing bird rotating on its axis, flapping its wings, and turning its head, with rear key compartment
