Of Louis XVI style, each with flaming urn finial above three foliate branches with fluted drip-pans and nozzles, the fluted tapering shaft with laurel swag suspending a medallion, with foliate boss, the back-plates inscribed in black '3919', the inside of some drip-pans and the back of the medallion indistinctly stamped 'OH' or 'AO'

The design of this pair of wall-lights can loosely be attributed to Jean-Louis Prieur whose design for a wall-light, now in the J. Paul Getty Museum (H. Ottomeyer, P. Prschel, et al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1986, vol. I, p. 172, fig. 3.5.3) bears many similarities such as the drip-pans, branches and overall appearance, to this pair.
