Lot Essay

Dr. Florian Hrb has confirmed the attribution and kindly pointed out that the verso of the drawing is after Michelangelo's Victory in the Sala dei Cinquecento in the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence. Dr. Hrb dates the drawing to Naldini's early period in the 1560s.
