Lot Essay

Several Continental ticket agencies issued passengers emigrating to North America with contract tickets in their native tongue. No specific ship is stipulated, the first available serving the purpose. This ticket covered passage from Christiania (now Oslo), via Grimsby to New York. The 'corrected' header reflecting the close proximity of the Titanic disaster a little over a month before.
