The waisted case with leaf and dragon head mounts to the sides and floral bouquet finial to the top with sliding cover, foliate cut brass inlay to the sides, white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes, regulation through XII, signed GUDIN A PARIS in the centre, pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension (later suspension block) and countwheel strike on bell above, with repeat signature on the backplate; and the wall bracket en suite
