signed on the limb Pigeon a Lyon, the protractor scale divided 0-180/0-180, the compass box attached to the frame by four mounting screws, enclosed by an engraved wreath supported by engraved scrolls, the limb and alidade with four sights, the underside fitted with a staff mounting with universal ball-and-socket joint, in the original embossed leather-covered wood case (defective, old tears, some leather loss, hinges defective) -- 11in. (28cm.) wide
