A fine and detailed scale model of the single cylinder three pillar vertical reversing stationary engine originally built for Booths Shoe Factory, Farsley, Leeds
and modelled by J. Webster, Farsley, 1906, with brass bound mahogany lagged cylinder 1.3/8in. bore x 1in. stroke, cylinder head lubricator, hand lever and quadrant operated regulator valve mounted on the valve chest, cylinder pressure relief valve and pipework, studded stuffing boxes, slipper type crosshead guide, hand lever (key missing) and quadrant operated Stephenson's link reverse, marine type big end, two main bearings with oil pots, spoked flywheel and shaft coupling, finished in dark green, red and polished brightwork and mounted on a cast bed with oval brass plate engraved J. Webster, Farsley on a simulated ston plinth, velvet lined wood base -- 14 x 13in. (36.2 x 34.3cm.) Domed glass cover
