Persian manuscript on gold-sprinkled ivory paper, 197ff. with the Gulistan written in 10ll. of elegant black and gold nasta'liq, the Bustan arranged diagonally around the main text, with gold and polychrome floral corner pieces, remargined, opening gold and polychrome illuminated bifolio, probably Qajar, final folio with colophon signed Muhammad Qiwan Shirazi, in Qajar lacquer cover with scenes of ladies with children
