A 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equator and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days and showing symbols for the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distance in nautical miles, principal airmail routes and an analemma in the Pacific Ocean, the continents with some nation states delicately coloured in green or yellow and showing airmail routes, railways, mountains, rivers and other details (areas of surface discolouration, old repaired crack to equator in Pacific approx. 4in. long) with stamped brass meridian circle, the printed paper horizon (reproduction) with days, names, symbols and pictures for the houses of the Zodiac, days and names for the months, the rim painted red, on two cast iron quadrant supports to moulded cast iron tripod stand with foliate decoration, the legs terminating in lion's paw feet -- 23in.
