Three scalloped pelmets of dark cream linen, appliqu with coloured silks and embroidered in coloured silks and metal threads with putti holding up baskets of flowers, on top of columns and blackamoors, framed by scrolling stylised flowers, trimmed with green fringed braid--two 96 x 13in. (120 x 34cm.), one 72 x 13in. (180 x 34cm.), backed; a matching shaped panel worked with silk and velvet appliqu with embroidered details with various animals, birds and figures including an elephant, snakes and a boat--30 x 57in. (75 x 143cm.); and four smaller matching shaped panels, all 1730s, Middle European, some damage
