An oak press cupboard, English, mid 17th century
profusely carved and inaid overall, with dentil-moulded top and interlaced foliate frieze raised on bulbous carved elm supports, with a pair of floral marquetry cupboard doors flanking a recessed panel between projecting columns, with a pair of strap-work filled drawers and a pair of four panel marquetry doors with projecting bosses, on stile feet, the sides with lozenge filled arcaded panel to the upper half and four lozenge filled panels below, extensive restoration including replacement columns and upper doors -- 63in. (160cm.) wide, 67in. (170cm.) high, 24in. (61cm.) deep
