A PAIR OF FLINTLOCK SCREW BARREL PISTOLS
The sighted rifled screw barrels with gold inlays on the octagonal breech section, and moldings forming a cannon-type configuration. Finely engraved lock plates, the cocks with finely filed enbellishments and bearing rosette engravings. Steel counter-plates embellished with engravings of panoplies-of-arms and fancy borders. Walnut stocks with carved moldings, trigger guards with pierced gilt floral finials, plain steel butt caps set with oval plates inlaid with gold florals.
