MUHAMMAD ALI "EXILE" SIGNED CHECK
A check given to Muhammad Ali by his manager Herbert Muhammad and promoter Robert Arum from their special account for Muhammad Ali. The check was written on May 11, 1967, shortly after Ali refused induction into the armed forces. He was immediately stripped of his title and forced into a three and a half year retirement while he appealed. Both Arum and Herbert Muhammad have signed the front of the check and Ali endorsed the back. The check is hand-written in ink, with bold ink signatures and is stamped paid on the front. Excellent to near mint condition.
