[Central or Eastern Europe, 18th century]

4o (210 x 170 mm). 134 + [12] leaves. Brown ink. Ashkenazic semi-cursive script. With some instructive drawings in the text. (Browned, edges frayed.) Modern blind and gold-tooled blue morocco, two modern paper flyleaves at back and front, two additional older flyleaves with old inscriptions preserved at the front.

CONTENTS:
With the glosses by Moses Zacuto, Benjamin ben Eliezer Hakohen and Nathan Spira. On the recto of the second old paper flyleaf at the front a later hand added a list of abbreviations used in the book. At the end of the manuscript there are eight numbered leaves from another copy of Otserot Chayyim, two blanks and two fold-out leaves with instructive drawings and tables.

Aaron Katz of Brisk, a teacher (melamed) in Neuenburg (recto of first old flyleaf at the front).
