Circa 1830, the teapot stamped STERLING, the covered bowl BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE, the milk jug unmarked
Comprising teapot, covered bowl and milk jug, each inverted pear form, on raised molded circular base, the body applied with broad fruited grapevine band, with die-rolled rims, the bowl with broad everted border, the pot and jug with floral and foliate scroll handle, the teapot with partly "feathered" and foliate capped swan's neck spout, the hinged partly raised and chased cover topped by acanthus bud finial, the bowl with similar cover, base rim engraved with name, the teapot--10in. (26.6cm.) high, 100oz. (3)
