cover -- 1831 (25 Aug.) entire letter to England (address unclear due to re-addressing on arrival to Teignmouth) variously rated and showing superb circular undated "OKEHAMPTON" on address panel, the reverse with fine light strikes of the framed "INDIA LETTER/KINGSBRIDGE" (In.3) and "Launceston/Penny Post" with superb strike of the circular "SAHARUNPORE POST OFFICE/PT.PD." datestamp (details completed in manuscript) adjacent (this marking is extremely rare, being one of only three known examples); slight seal removal damage but still most attractive. Long interesting letter with full transcript. Also 1840 entire from Cape of Good Hope with fine strike of the same India Letter marking on reverse but in red. Photo for the first item
