Zwlf Holzschnitte von Lyonel Feininger, Staatliches Bauhaus, Weimar, 1921
woodcuts, 1918-20, on fibrous Japan (Prasse W81 on Japan with wirelines), woodcut title, justification and the complete set of twelve, fine, rich and fresh impressions, each signed in pencil, numbered '7' on the justification, from the deluxe edition of ten hand-printed by the artist (there was also an edition of 40 on thin Japan printed under the artist's supervision - the impression of P. W81 presumably comes from this edition), the full sheets, with deckle edges, P. W81 presumably the full sheet as published, with margins, taped or laid in places at the sheet edges, P. W110 with a small loss at the lower right sheet corner, one or two with very faint mount-staining, a few tiny stains, generally in excellent, fresh condition, nine in original mounts but original backing replaced with acid-free mats (three mounts replaced), loose in original parchment portfolio with title on spine, minor staining, rubbing and traces of surface dirt(portfolio)
overall S. 18.1/8 x 15in. (46.5 x 38cm.)
