Franois Mondon, matre circa 1730

Specialised in the use of dark-coloured veneers, Franois Mondon worked mainly in the Rgence style, although a certain quantity of Louis XV pieces are known from his workshop in rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine. His son Franois Antoine took over the workshop after his death in 1770.
