The Queen's South Africa Medal without clasp was issued to 75 Kimberley civilians who played a part in the siege but did not bear arms. They were erroneously listed on the supplementary roll of the Kimberley Town Guard, erroneously since they were did not serve in it, and their Medals issued from it.

(Private) J. Morrison was awarded his Medal for 'Carpentering work under the direction of a Royal Engineer's Officer.'
