A famille rose 'European Subject' teapot and cover
Circa 1770
Painted on each side of the globular body with an amorous couple in 18th Century European dress accompagnied by a small dog, seated under a tree in a hilly landscape with a village in the background, the man leaning against the lady to give her a baise-main, the landscape repeated on the domed cover with knop finial (some restorations, small crack to the cover)
