Painted on the bowl and stand with a scene of Neptune holding a trident and riding on two dolphins between tritons and nymphs, a narrow honey-comb border encircling the rim (minute glaze frits)

This design is after a drawing by Abraham Bloemaert (1565-1651), later engraved by his son Frederick who died in 1669.
