German, Meissen Ware (Circa 1730), Crossed-Swords Mark in Blue Enamel
Each deep, small bowl cylindrical, rising from a raised ring foot to an angled lip with barbed rim, decorated in Kakiemon-style in polychrome enamels and gilt over transparent glaze with two red confronted dragons and two flaming pearls on the interior lip, a phoenix roundel in the well, and with flowering plum, rocks, birds and paulownia on the exterior, foot rims unglazed, wheel-cut and painted Johanneum inventory marks on bases N=322 over W
