One bowl bears an Oriental Ceramic Society label on the base which does not indicate an exhibition date. Neither bowl appears in the 1956 OCS exhibition catalogue with other de la Mare/Weatherhead pieces.

Each circular, rising from a circular foot to a petal-shaped rim and moulded on the interior with three lotiform panels linked by scrolling foliage, also decorated in red, yellow and blue enamels over the clear glaze with two quails, a butterfly and a stand of chrysanthemums and grasses, the exterior undecorated, the barbed rims glazed in iron-oxide
