A Bird-Form Porcelain Incense Burner (Koro)
Edo-Meiji Periods (Second Half 19th Century)
Moulded in two parts as a grebe with articulated side and tail feathers and pierced on the back with three triangular holes to allow the release of fragrance, decorated in Kakiemon style in polychrome enamels and gilt over clear glaze, the interior undecorated; rims and flat base unglazed
