A collection of Chinese botanical watercolours of fruit and vegetables. [n.p. but ?Canton: n.d. but circa 1830]. 16 FINE WATER- AND BODYCOLOUR DRAWINGS of Chinese fruits, some heightening with gum arabic (358 x 455mm. approx.), all on western laid paper. (Some spotting and some small marginal repairs.) Tipped onto modern backing boards and window-mounted.

A FINE COLLECTION OF CHINESE BOTANICAL STUDIES OF FRUIT. The subjects are:
1. Ginger. Zingiber officinale + Colocasia esculenta. Laid paper (359 x 457mm). (Small repairs to outer margins).
2. Maize. Zea mays. Laid paper (357 x 454mm.
3. Branch with seed pods. Sterculia ceramica. Laid paper. (357 x 458mm). (Small repairs to lower margin).
4. Water-chestnut. Trapa bicornis. (357 x 453mm). (Small repairs to margin).
5. Plum. Prunus domestica. Laid paper. (358 x 455mm).
6. Oranges. Citrus sinensis. Laid paper. (358 x 453mm).
7. Oranges and ?Dates. Citrus sinensis. Laid paper. (358 x 456mm).
8. Pumelo.Citrus grandis. Laid paper. (358 x 455mm).
9. Banana fruit and flower. Musax paradisiaca. Laid paper. (357 x 456mm). (Light spotting).
