Chteau Latour--Vintage 1918
Pauillac, 1er cru class. Chteau-bottled
Corroded capsules. Six labels badly bin-soiled and damaged, five with Christie's slip labels only. Levels: one mid/upper, four mid, four mid/low and two below low-shoulder

Tasting note: a nonegenarium but an extremely rare immediate post-World War I vintage. The combination of a good year and a Chteau renowned for its longevity. Good colour; ripe mature bouquet; lean, fragrant when last tasted in 1993. M.B.
