The flat top hood with outset reeded columns, the lancet arched trunk door flanked by reeded angles, on stepped plinth, the 11in. wide arched brass dial with urn and foliate spandrels to the brass chapter ring, signed James Lay HANNEY, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, with later seatboard; possibly associated -- 80in. (205cm.) high
