The English case gilt decorated against a sea green ground, with chinoiserie scenes to the trunk door and stylised beasts to the plinth, hood door and some mouldings detached, mid 18th century; with associated Italian movement and dial, the dial with repouss fruit and scroll mounts on a velvet-covered dial plate, the silvered Roman chapter ring with silvered hand, the enclosed movement with scenes of the Holy Family painted to the side doors, hoop and spurs to the rear, the three train movement with anchor escapement chiming on two bells, 18th century -- 88in.
