"My new work is clearly tuned to the idea that for those who are approaching the terrain of painting and more specifically abstraction, the only possible attitude is irony. Paintings of different formats, whose fundamental structure is constituted by the letters (L, F, H, etc.) that immediately situate the spectator before the first question: is it abstraction or representation? It is a first exercise in which I make mine the previous formal referents with the intention of dismounting them, of subverting them, of displacing their meanings."
