A CYPRIOT RED LUSTROUS WARE SPINDLE AND 'PILGRIM' FLASK
LATE CYPRIOT, 1650-1475 B.C.
The tall tapering spindle bottle with single handle, rib around neck, repaired, 11 in. (29.2 cm.) high; the 'pilgrim' flask with flattened spherical body, tall neck and handle, repaired, 10 in. (27.2 cm.) high; three Cypro-Classical Plain White Ware footed jugs with pinched spouts, 8 in. (21.5 cm.) high av.; three similar smaller jugs with round mouths, 6 in. (17.2 cm.) high av.; a jug with bull head protome on the shoulder, 10 in. (25.4 cm.) high, repaired, circa 5th Century B.C.; a flask tapering to pointed base, small loop side handle, the body with encircling ribs, 7 in. (18.4 cm.) high; and two twin-handled amphorae, 8 in. high av., all mainly circa 4th-1st Century B.C. (12)
